Hive Cut-out
As a beekeeper, you are generally approached with two questions:
Do you have any honey?
Will you come get these bees off my property?
Now, the honey question is easy. The other question can get quite complicated. So here is what a beekeeper wants to know about the bees on your property:
First and foremost… ARE THEY ACTUAL HONEY BEES? I personally do not know anyone who harvests honey from yellow jackets. We aren't coming out to catch those! sorry.
Now…
IS IT A SWARM? These are simply a cluster of bees hanging out for a short period of time. Typically on a branch or bush or similar, and are time sensitive. Call as soon as you see these (free removal service).
… and lastly…
IS IT A CUT-OUT? Simply put… do I have to cut, pry, or break something open to access an ESTABLISHED colony, and remove it?
If it falls into the last category, that is what we call a cut-out. Please reach out to us and we will come take a look at your specific situation. If we feel it is something we can handle, we will provide you with a free estimate and go from there.
